Wu Yuezhai tourist destination is located in the mountain area, northwest part of Lingshou county, Hebei province, and it is 110 kilometers south of the provincial capital, Shi Jiazhuang. It is named after its five towering peaks side by side and the famous Five Mountains with which Wu Yuezhai shares the features. Wu Yuezhai tourist destination is a high-qualified natural scenery spot with multiple functions of tourism, recuperation, summer get-away, exploration, mountain-climbing, and scientific investigation. It has been already evaluated as one national 4A tourist site in China.
五岳寨景区位于河北省灵寿县西北部山区，南距省会石家庄110公里，因五座山峰并列耸立，且有五岳之特点而得名。是集旅游观光、健身疗养、避暑消夏、寻奇涉幽、登山探险、科学考察为一体的高品位、多功能自然风景区。被评为国家AAAA级旅游区。
The mountains of Wu Yuezhai are steep and precipitous. On the southeast side of the mountains stand many cliffs, which are vertical to the bottom of the valley, as deep as hundreds of meters. And the rock platform on the peak is extremely dangerous to climb although it is no more than 20 square meters. Standing on the peak and looking around, you may find that heaven and the earth blend well in color. Holding a panoramic view of mountains, you will truly get the sense ——“Be on the top of the mountain,and you will find the crowds of mounts overlooked are getting small.”
五岳寨山势陡峻、雄险，东南侧陡崖壁立，直垂谷底深达数百米，仅有十几平方米的顶峰岩石平台，奇险无比。站在峰顶极目四望，苍茫中天地一色，千山万岭尽收眼底，让人真正体会到“会当凌绝顶，一览众山小”的境界。
With plenty of geological resources, the mountains and landscapes of Wu Yuezhai are peculiar. Many peaks there are oddly shaped, such as Monkey Head Peak, Rock Hump Peak, Mandarin Duck Rock, and General Rock, which resemble the human being as well as animals vividly.
五岳寨地质资源丰富，山形地貌奇特，猴头峰、石驼峰、鸳鸯石、将军石等许多山峰奇形怪状，拟人似兽、栩栩如生。
The altitude of Wu Yuezhai is above 1,300 meters. It still snows in May there, and in June, the ice layers in the mountains remain everywhere. It is the season, however, for the trees to bud in green and azaleas to bloom in red. The color of green and red, with white from the ice and snow, composing a scene rarely can be seen. And that is why, in ancient times, in Wu Yuezhai, the saying of “The azaleas here are embedded with white” spread.
五岳寨海拔高度在1300米以上，五月还要下雪，六月份山内冰层还到处可见，此时正是树木吐绿、杜鹃绽放的季节，红绿之间伴以银冰玉雪，确是一大难得的景观，故古代这里就有“镶银杜鹃”之说。
